Midnight Moonlight - OpenGEU theme
Enlightenment Themes
Description:

Midnight Moonlight
The Alternate theme of the good, old OpenGEU Quarto di Luna

This is the theme of the old E17 distro OpenGEU (aka Geubuntu), recompiled for the stable release of E17/Moksha and E19 with full ELEMENTARY SUPPORT!!.
All the credits goes to Luca The Dark Master, lead developer of OpenGEU and artpulse, his team that realizes this theme.

IMPORTANT
The theme had an animated background that I've make static to save memory on old computer.
If you have RAM and you've paid to meld it, so to enable the animated background you can:
  • decompile the theme: edje_decc "Midnight Moonlight E19.edj"

  • Go into the new folder Midnight Moonlight E19 and open default.edc

  • On line 153 comment (add the "//" before the line) BACKGROUND_LIGHT and decomment (remove "//") BACKGROUND_ANIMATED

  • recompile the theme, with a terminal that points on the theme folder, run: edje_cc default.edc -o "Midnight Moonlight E19 - Anim.edj"

  • Import the theme with Theme Selector or copy the .edj file on ~/.elementary/themes and enjoy the animation!

  • There is also a light colored version of this theme: Morning Sunshine, check it here http://e17-stuff.org/content/show.php?content=156639 !

Check the latest version of this theme on my GitHub Page https://github.com/avDuma/E-Themes !

Enjoy this beautiful theme and enjoy Enlightenment!

Sources seems correct. Can you please pastebin me your edited default.edc file and wallpaper.edc file?

    Thank you!

    Great job with this one!
When can we expect a matching GTK[2|3] theme? =-)
I am currently using it with MediterraneanWhiteNight. It's good, but not perfect.
Also, in case you are taking hints:
    1. The contrast of the selections in lists could be slightly improved;
    2. The colour of the shelves is a bit too light, just a hint darker would do wonders;

Also, is there a way to switch (left <-> right) window border controls?
Thank you very much for such an excellent theme.

    Hi Stunts!
    Thank you for the feedback.
I just want to point that I'm not the creator of the theme. I've grabbed the theme on old OpenGEU iso, update some code stuff for new version of E17 and recompiled to make it complete and usuable.
Window button position, as other color choiches depends by theme's authors, Luca De Mariani (the darkmaster, the creator of OpenGEU) and ArtPulse team.

After this precisation, I can easly modify colors of shelf and selected item, window controls are a longer job and at the moment I'm more busy to build GTK themes for Bodhi Linux Team (see my gallery at DeviantArt) and, after that, for OpenGEU's themes.
If you want to give me other advices, I can edit the theme and pass you the edj edited, but I think I won't change the main link for Midnight / Moonlight themes because I want to keep the original project, made by Luca DM.

This theme is really nice, but fonts in the calendar for example is messed up when using 1.2 scaling. Could be better. Hope to see the issue fixed.

    Hi rocks,
thank you very much to using, testing and reporting issues in the theme.
Why are you using 1.2 scaling?
I've always thinked scaling makes images worse.
What about changing size font on Settings -> Look -> Fonts -> Advanced to make your desktop bigger?

Surely if you can tell me parts that needs more cleaning, I'll fix them.
